Often we get calls from design engineers, scientists,
and engineers that just need a source of portable power to operate equipment in the field. This product is an inexpensive,
quick way to do this, and even has a female cigarette adapter output for easy use. This is a package consisting of a 2.3
amp-hour, 12 volt sealed lead acid rechargeable battery, a 12V cigarette lighter socket output and both an AC charger and a DC
car charger.
It consists of a cap that snaps onto the top of a BP2.3-12 12 volt battery, which covers the spade or
fast-on terminals. There is a charging port at one end of the cap with a 5.5 x 2.1 mm barrel jack. On the other end is a 2 foot
cable with a female cigarette lighter socket. The snap-on cap contains circuitry that includes a 3 amp self-resetting circuit
breaker, a battery charger, and LEDs that report the charging progress.
For example, when used with your cell-phone car
charger attached the BP-23 can run a typical cell phone for 8 times longer than the battery in the phone.
Special
Features :
- 2.3 Amp-Hour, 12 Volts lead acid rechargeable battery may be operated in any position.
- The Red LED indicates the charger is plugged in
- The Green LED lamp indicates a full charge of the battery.
- Don't leave battery continually on charger, after the green light comes on disconnect within 24 hours. The
battery will slowly degrade if left on the charger. For standby-use top off the charge every 6 months. If you need to leave on
charge continually used the "Enhanced" version below.
- Directly power devices designed to plug into a car power point or cigarette lighter, such as games, cell phone
chargers, GPS, palmtop computers, flashlights or cellular "bag" phones, heated clothing, or 12 volt model car chargers.
- For added flexibility use our regulated DC/DC car power adapters for voltage outputs from 1.5 volts to 24 volts to enjoy unlimited use of electronic products such as games, portable DVD
players, CD players, walkmans, MINI TVs, and heated clothing.

** The Enhanced version comes with a 750 mA smart charger with universal
AC input that can be left on the battery continuously. This allows the PST-BP23-Enhanced to be used in a standby mode. The charge
time is about 3 hours with this arrangement.
