Guaranteed Security Policy
We at PowerStream guarantee that your credit card and personal information are 100% safe and secure through the use of 128-bit SSL encryption technology. In addition to your information being secure, all data we collect is protected against unauthorized access.
We also protect you against possible fraudulent charges on your credit card by working closely with the credit card companies to ensure the card has not been stolen. We do not accept credit card orders from areas of the world that have bad reputations, from these areas we require T/T wire transfer in advance.
PRIVACY STATEMENT (last updated 21 November 2007) Your name is safe with PowerStream. We are an engineering company, not a marketing company. We do not sell or share your information. We don't send you advertising. Any announcements we send are opt-on only and always have "unsubscribe" features that work automatically. We hate spam more than you do.
Orders that are placed on-line use state-of-the-art 128 bit encryption and https for your protection. The information that we acquire is limited to that necessary to give you good service. Cookies are used in the shopping cart to keep track of your shopping trip, but no information is gleaned from the cookies for our use or anybody else's use.
DO NOT USE PRODUCTS SOLD BY POWERSTREAM AS CRITICAL COMPONENTS IN LIFE SUPPORT DEVICES OR SYSTEMS.
Products sold by PowerStream are not intended for, or authorized for use as, critical components in life support equipment. A critical component is any component of a life support device or system whose failure to perform can be reasonably expected to cause the failure of the life support device or system, or to affect its safety or effectiveness. Any attempt to purchase any PowerStream product for that purpose is null and void and PowerStream accepts no liability whatsoever in contract, tort or otherwise whether or not resulting from our or our employees' negligence or failure to detect an improper purchase.
PowerStream products have not been submitted for approval, nor have they been approved by the FAA for use in critical avionics applications.
Technical Assistance and Design Support Services Disclaimer of Warranties; Release of Claims
PowerStream offers its technical assistance and design support services as a convenience to PowerStreams customers. PowerStream personnel strive to provide useful information regarding PowerStream products. PowerStream does not guarantee that any information or recommendation provided is accurate, complete, or correct, and PowerStream shall have no responsibility or liability whatsoever in connection with any information or recommendation provided, or the customer's reliance on such information or recommendation. The customer is solely responsible for analyzing and determining the appropriateness of any information or recommendation provided by PowerStream technical assistance, web based information, or design support services personnel, and any reliance on such information or recommendation is at the customer's sole risk and discretion. Accordingly, the customer shall release and hold PowerStream harmless from and against any and all loss, liability, and damage incurred by the customer or any third party as a result of any information or recommendation provided to the customer or the customer's reliance on such information or recommendation.
Limitation of Liability
PowerStreams liability shall be limited to the repair or replacement of defective products in accordance with the PowerStream warranty.
PowerStream shall not be liable for any incidental, special or consequential damages for breach of any warranty, expressed or implied, directly or indirectly arising out of PowerStreams sale of merchandise, including late deliveries, any failure to deliver any merchandise, or problems arising out of customer's installation or use, whether proper or improper, of the product, separately or in combination with other equipment, or from any other cause.
In no event shall PowerStream be liable to the buyer or to any third party for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary damages (including without limitation lost profits, lost savings, or loss of business opportunity) arising out of or relating to any product or service provided by PowerStream, or the use or inability to use the product or service, even if PowerStream has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
A notice about legal actions: Lund Instrument Engineering, Inc., is a Utah corporation. By purchasing from us you agree to settle all disputes with Lund Instrument Engineering, Inc. in Utah County, State of Utah. You also agree that all disputes may be arbitrated by a Third party first. All buyers agree that any and all legal actions must be filed in Utah County, Utah. In no event shall Lund Instrument Engineering, Inc., or any associate be required to appear or attend any court outside of Utah County, State of Utah.
Cookies are not necessary to view our web site or buy things through our shopping cart. Cookies are tiny pieces of information stored on your computer that keep track of items in your shopping cart. If cookies are enabled in your browser, they are used to keep track of you during the shopping experience. If cookies are not enabled, we use your IP address for that purpose. When you first click an [Add to Cart] button, our software sets a cookie to associate you with a particular shopping cart.
When you enter your shipping and billing information and click Submit This Order to complete the order, ShopSite sets another cookie. This cookie contains the billing address (and the shipping address if a separate one is used) that you used. It does not contain any credit card information. This cookie is set to expire December 30th of the calendar year following the year the order is placed. If you return to the store from the same computer within this time, ShopSite will detect and read the cookie and you will not have to re-enter the address information. If cookies are disabled in your browser, this "memory" feature will not be available to you.
No Minimum Order
There are no minimum order dollar amounts or piece quantities on products normally stocked in our warehouse. For products that are not normally stocked, or that are custom or customized there may be minimum order dollar or piece amount.
How to Order
We have five types of products and services
1. Off-the-shelf, ready to ship. These products have prices and add to cart buttons on their web pages. To buy these, you add them to your shopping cart by pushing the add to cart button, choosing the shipping method, and proceeding to Checkout. This takes you to the secure area, where you can put in your confidential information.
You can abandon your order at any time. You can even decide to cancel the order after submission and before shipping by calling us at 801-764-9060, 9062, 9063 or 9064 or e-mailing us at the link listed below. We try to ship within the same working day, so dont wait too long!
Payment for off-the-shelf products is usually by credit card or paypal. If you want to pay by check or wire transfer please call our sales department to order.
2. Semi-custom. These are off-the-shelf products that need new connectors, voltage adjustment, or some other shop work to prepare for you. You need to call us at 801-764-9060, 9062, 9063 or 9064 to order. Payment for these products is usually by credit card, wire transfer, paypal, or check in advance.
3. Custom. The most common custom products are custom battery packs. Since these are made specifically to your specifications we require payment in advance. Other custom manufacturing terms are based on a formal quote or negotiated terms.
4. Special order. Many of our web pages contain products that are not off-the-shelf because they are not in current production, need custom modifications for individual needs, or are future off-the-shelf products in development. Call us to discuss these products.
5. Engineering, consulting. custom designed power supplies, etc. These products need to be discussed with our sales department.
Encryption: When ordering on-line all of your private information is encrypted on our server using state of the art encryption methods.
Only Utah residents need to remit 6.25% sales tax. PowerStream does not remit sales tax to states other than Utah. Any sales tax due that is not collected by PowerStream is the responsibility of the customer.
Errors and Omissions
PRICE AND/OR DESCRIPTION CHANGES All prices, pictures and descriptions on this site and all other PowerStream publications are subject to change. PowerStream maintains no responsibility for inadvertent errors. In the event of typographical errors on our site or in our publications, PowerStream reserves the right to cancel or refuse orders at its sole discretion. Please contact us within 30 days regarding price or promotion discrepancies.
PowerStream is not liable for errors in prices listed on the site due to computer error or human error.
We normally ship via UPS. For APO addresses we ship USPS. All transactions are in US Dollars only. Items are individually assigned appropriate shipping costs. Shipping costs appear when you add an item to your Shopping Cart.
Shipping times are only estimates and are not guaranteed. We cannot control occasional inventory shortages, shipping carrier delays, customs delays, weather delays, and other factors that can delay your shipment. However, we will do our best to get your product to you as soon as possible. We cannot ship on weekends and holidays when UPS does not pick up
On orders requesting Next Day Air or Second Day Air Shipping, all items in stock will be shipped immediately as requested. We cannot ship on weekends and holidays that UPS does not pick up. All back ordered items will be shipped upon arrival. This will also apply to back orders going to Hawaii or Alaska. Any other foreign order will be held until it can be shipped complete unless otherwise requested.
If you receive merchandise that has been damaged in transit, it is important to keep the shipping carton, packing material and parts intact. Please contact a PowerStream Customer Service representative immediately to initiate a claim.
Order Fulfilment Policy
Most in-stock items are shipped within the same business day. Orders received by 3:00 PM Mountain Time can be shipped overnight or two day. After 3:00 PM if you are in a world of hurt you are welcome to call and impose on the good nature of our staff, but we can only do what is possible.
For out-of-stock items, you will be notified of any delay. If we cannot deliver your product within 30 days, we will contact you and give you the opportunity to cancel your order. You must pay all orders in advance (at the time of order), even for out-of-stock items.
For "not-stocked" items different policies apply. Some products normally take 3 to 5 weeks to deliver, mostly batteries and battery packs. These times are clearly stated on our web page, and you must deal directly with a sales engineer by phone, FAX or e-mail to order (in other words you can't order on the on-line shopping cart). These orders are usually non-cancelable even when they are late, since there are many factors outside our control.
Please allow us 5 business days to respond to RMA and order status requests. You MUST have an RMA number to return any merchandise for any reason.
To obtain an RMA please fill out the form linked here and FAX or e-mail it to PowerStream. We will respond by giving you a return material authorization number, which will allow us to receive the box. Further information is given on the form.
Special order products
Special order products are non-cancelable, non-returnable.
If Product is Defective:
If you receive a defective item, simply call us for help. If you are unable to contact us by phone, send us an e-mail and we will provide an RMA. Please note that you must return all packaging, manuals, and items included in the original box, along with a detailed explanation of the defect, within 30 days.
PowerStream provides a warranty on most of the products we sell. However, for some products, such as batteries we cannot accept returns. Since we are an engineering company, and our purpose is to help product development engineers develop products, custom batteries that are made for this purpose have a warranty that they meet the drawing electrical and mechanical specifications when shipped. We will make exceptions to this policy when reasonable because we are reasonable people.
If Product is Resalable:
If the product is off-the-shelf and in its original packaging, we will exchange it or refund it within 30 days (excluding batteries). If you would like a refund, you will receive a full one, minus a 15% restocking fee. All purchase exchanges and refunds are minus tax and shipping. Please be sure to include all original packaging materials and instructions.
If the product has been assembled, painted, altered, or does not contain all of its original packaging, this is not a resalable item.
You MUST have an RMA number to exchange any merchandise.
Our exchange policy is the best on the net! Anything you purchase from PowerStream can be exchanged up to 30 days after the date of purchase! What that means to you is that you have all the time you need to make sure it is exactly right for you. (Items returned for exchange must be in resalable condition.)
We want you to feel totally satisfied when you order products from PowerStream. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, send us an e-mail, so we can resolve any concerns. You will be asked to follow these simple steps:
1. Make sure your original invoice is dated within the last 30 days. Call or e-mail us to receive an RMA (Return of Merchandise Authorization) number.
2. Check all returned items to be sure they are in new condition (including all original packaging and accessories.)
3. Include a copy of the original invoice. On the back of the invoice, please write your name, e-mail address, phone number, and the item(s) you would like to receive in exchange for the return. Please also tell us the reason for return so we dont have to waste our engineering time testing it to see if it is resalable
4. Pack the item(s) securely and mail to:

5. Shipping charges are not refunded. You will be responsible for the return shipping fees incurred to send the item(s) back to us. You will also need to pay for the shipping of your new product to you.
