Digitally (or analog) controlled constant current
source
Custom design and manufacture of state-of-the-art
battery chargers, UPS, and power supplies for OEMs in a hurry?
This is a microprocessor controlled SEPIC topology DC/DC converter
programmed to be a constant current power source.
Theory of Operation:
A
serial digital signal or analog voltage sets the current in this constant-current power supply
board.
Output voltage can be higher or lower than the input voltage.
Form factor and custom features can be redesigned to OEM
requirements.
PST-SEP-CC Preliminary specifications
Input voltage
8-30 volts nominal, higher range possible
Compliance Voltage:
1.8-18 volts nominal
Output Current
0-2 amps
Control method
Serial digital signal or analog 0-5 volts
Bandwidth
1 kHz
Efficiency
50% (low power) to 80% (27 watts output)
Form
Circuit board product, (frame or case developed on
request)
Dimensions
4" x 1.8" x 0.5" (10 cm x 4.6 cm x 2 cm)
Weight
1.2 oz, 34 grams
Note: Compliance voltage is the range of output voltage
available to control a fixed current. For example, if a constant current of 0.5amps is desired
then the load resistance can range between 3.6 Ohms and 36 Ohms
