How to get a custom battery pack from
PowerStream
The easiest way to get a custom battery pack is to call one of our
friendly engineers and let him do all the work. But it helps to do some of the thinking before hand. The PowerStream website
links given above give you a lot of information about battery pack design, size and capacities of available
batteries.
For example, look at the pages concerning Battery Pack Design, Size of Cylindrical
Batteries, and Capacity and Cost of Nickel Cadmium and Nickel Metal Hyride Batteries. These will help you get an idea of what
is possible, and a ballpark of how much it will cost.
There is also a connector page with some
of the properties of more common connectors that are used on battery packs.
Things to consider
are:
- Primary or Secondary (non-rechargeable or rechargeable)
- Voltage
- Capacity in amp hours
- Peak and average current in amps
- Configuration
- Termination--solder tabs, wires, connectors, etc.
