This is a universal input industrial quality AC/AC frequency converter which uses high frequency PWM technology to generate the required output power with pure sine wave output. It is a mature design with a track record in numerous applications. The AC/DC input first stage converts the input voltage to a high voltage DC voltage, which feeds the second stage, a DC/AC inverter to generate the required AC output. The use of high frequency switching enables a compact, low weight and high efficiency frequency converter. The unit has full electronic protections. Both input and output connections are filtered for low noise. Cooling is via base plate to a heat sinking surface and by natural convection.
