| These li-ion cells and
batteries not only have high capacity, but can deliver high power. High-power
lithium iron phosphate batteries are now a reality. They can be used as storage
cells or power sources.
In addition, Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries are among the longest lived batteries ever developed. Test data in the laboratory show up to 2000 charge/discharge cycles. Our cells typically have more than 1000 cycles in service.
These batteries are excellent for use in motorcycles, snowmobiles, jet skis, etc., (see applicaiton note below) because they do not need maintenance during the off season. There is no equivalent to sulfation and the batteries can be stored in any state of charge without worry of degradation. We recommend 50-100% charge before storage. Another advantage is that running the battery completely down (i.e. leaving the parking light on for a week) will not damage the battery at all, unlike the SLA and Gel batteries.

Note: these can be used in parallel to increase the capacity, AND they can be used in series to increase the voltage up to 48V.
** Application note:Starting small engines. This battery will source 100+ amps during engine starting, which is over one horsepower. This is plenty of power to start most small engines. HOWEVER we have found that this might not be enough to start some high compression engines, particularly motorcycle racing engines and even some lawn mower engines. Please verify the current you need before ordering, because we will charge you a 15% restocking fee plus shipping if you return it.
Using these batteries in series.Most manufacturers of similar batteries cannot allow the battery to be used in series. We have developed a new battery management board capable of supporting up to 48V, so these batteries can be put in 12V, 24V, 36V, or 48V combinations by placing them in series. This is helpful in electric bikes, wheel chairs, and other higher voltage appliances. They can also be put in series-parallel combination, just like sealed lead acid batteries. Before putting them in series it is best to fully charge each battery at 12V (14.6V peak) to make sure they start out balanced.
